The human & the Snorlax

Twenty years of airports taught me where to eat.

Now I'm sharing all of it β€” the meals, the food map, the cards, and the naps.

Meet Kuma

My partner in crime is Kuma, a Snorlax with a serious appetite for adventure and an even more serious appetite for everything else. He's always ready to eat and always ready to nap β€” usually in that order.

Don't let the sleepy exterior fool you. Kuma has a remarkably refined palate, and he is famously allergic to horrible food. If a spot makes the site, it means it cleared the Kuma bar.

  • Type: Snorlax Β· Adventure-class
  • Loves: Big meals, bigger naps, new places
  • Allergic to: Horrible food (breaks out in disappointment)

From frequent flyer to full-time eater

I spent twenty years as a tech consultant, living out of a carry-on and clocking serious miles for business. The job took me everywhere β€” and somewhere along the way the best part of every trip stopped being the meetings and started being the meals.

After leaving consulting and moving into industry, I finally have the room to do the things I actually love: collecting, cooking, and chasing down an adventure wherever I land. This site is where all of that lives.

Expect honest takes on places worth traveling for, recipes I'm tinkering with at home, and a healthy obsession with trading cards. I'm hands-on with everything β€” and I'd rather show you than tell you.

The three rules

How this whole thing works

If Kuma had a manifesto, it would fit on a napkin.

Eat everywhere

From street carts to white tablecloths. The best bite isn't always the fanciest one.

Collect & trade

PokΓ©mon, One Piece, and Final Fantasy. Always hunting, occasionally selling.

Stay hands-on

Cooking it, building it, going there. If it can be done in person, count me in.
